Angel Veza is one of two Fight Directors working on Supergravity and the Eleventh Dimension and in this case, “fight” direction also includes making a character fly!
Did you know that in addition to being a fantastic fight director, Angel is also an actor whose recent credits include: When the Gods Speak (Bostonia Bohemia/Interim Writers), A Dream Play (Heart and Dagger Productions), and Stoops! (Divine Stage Works)? She recently served as the Fight Director for From Denmark With Love (Vaquero Playground). Angel graduated from Tufts University and has also trained at the Vampire Cowboys Rabid Vamps Fight Studio in NYC.
If you weren’t in theatre, what would be your dream job?
I’m not in theatre, but I would love to be the Director of College Counseling and Student Services at a high school.
If theatre is not your full-time job, what do you do on the side?
I am the Admissions Coordinator at City on a Hill Charter Public School.
What has been your favorite thing about working on the play so far?
Meeting the actors and chillin’ with JPS and Zach – they’re awesome.
What do you think is the most challenging thing about your design for this show? Why are you looking forward to making it work?
Making Carmen fly; It’s gonna look so baller.
Have you ever been fascinated by a certain aspect of science?
If someone were to read your fortune (a la Carmen in the play), what do you think it would say?
